Spurring New Research on the Demography of Aging

Research Fellows Program

The aim of the MiCDA Fellows program, formerly the annual pilot project program, is to provide mentorship to early career scholars interested in behavioral and social aspects of aging related to MiCDA’s signature themes. Research Fellows receive funding for a pilot project, are mentored by a MiCDA affiliate, and attend workshops in manuscript development, grant preparation and science communications.

The call for applications for MiCDA’s Research Fellows Program is now closed. Updates about future opportunities will be shared on this page.

In collaboration with ISR, MiCDA offers an annual online pilot grant preparation workshop (registration required).  This year’s workshop was held on February 11, 2026.

Early Career Workshops

MiCDA offers several early career workshops focused on manuscript development, grant preparation, and science communications.
