Changing Demography of Family Caregiving

Network Overview

This network studies the implications of changes in the demography of families for caregiving and the wellbeing of older adults and their caregivers. To achieve this aim, the network brings together scholars on family demography and aging with those studying family caregiving and the effects of relationships and stress on families.

Members capitalize on new and maturing national datasets designed explicitly to address these issues, including the National Study of Caregiving, the Health and Retirement Study and recent supplements to the Panel Study of Income Dynamics.
